The Audi Q8 was officially confirmed in 2014, giving enthusiasts plenty of time to rev their engines in preparation for the release of the awesome performance SUV. The brand officially unveiled the base Q8 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show and is continuing to build on the overall model. The Audi RS Q8 Concept will take the stage at the Geneva Motor Show with an eye on conquering the competition.
Audi is putting the pedal to the floor in an effort to take on the likes of high-end luxury competitors like the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover Sport. Even the Mercedes-Benz AMG performance models aren’t safe with the newest concept setting its sight on performance.
The Audi RS Q8 Concept will be based on the Q8 hybrid with performance that will match a production model. The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission will nearly match the S8 Plus’s 605 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. A production version of the RS Q8 Concept will reach 62 mph in under five seconds and boast a top speed of around 186 mph. Aggressive styling will certainly make the new RS Q8 stand out from the crowd at the Geneva Motor Show.
