The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety put the 2020 Audi A6 allroad® to six tests, designed to evaluate how the luxury wagon would perform in specific crash scenarios. In each test, the 2020 Audi A6 allroad® achieved a “Good” rating, earning the organization’s highest rating — Top Safety Pick+.
The six crash tests covered small overlap front on the driver side, small overlap front on the passenger side, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints and seats.
The 2020 Audi A6 allroad® also earned top marks for its tech designed to help mitigate or avoid a crash. Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, standard technologies on the four-door wagon, earned the model a rating of “Superior” in the IIHS tests.
Under proper conditions, Audi pre sense® basic and city are two technologies that pull information from sensors to help safeguard your journey. You’ll be alerted to potential accidents with the city system. The basic tech can activate car systems to help you avoid or minimize an impact.
The wagon’s exterior lighting system earned a “Good” rating from the IIHS. The 2020 Audi A6 allroad® features LED headlights immersed in a Matrix-like design with high beam assist and LED taillights with dynamic turn signals.
