When you want peace of mind behind the wheel, but don’t want to sacrifice luxury, then you should look to Audi. The luxury carmaker recently received eight Top Safety Pick honors from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, making the Audi vehicle lineup one of the top for safety for the 2021 model year.
The IIHS awarded its highest-possible safety rating, Top Safety Pick+, to the 2021 Audi A6, A6 allroad, A7, e-tron, and e-tron Sportback. Receiving the Top Safety Pick recognition when equipped with available LED or Matrix-design LED headlights were the 2021 Audi A4, A5 Sportback, and Audi Q8.
To earn these awards, each model had to earn the top “Good” rating in all six crashworthiness performance evaluations. A Top Safety Pick+ must also earn an “Advanced” or “Superior” for its front-crash prevention and a “Good” rating for its headlights. To earn the Top Safety Pick award, the headlights are only required to be available as an option, not standard.
Audi offers a full suite of standard and available driver-assistance features, helping drivers feel confident out on the road. It comes standard with Audi pre sense® basic, Audi pre sense® city or front, Audi side assist, and lane-departure warning. Available features include rear cross-traffic assist, Adaptive Cruise Assist, and an available top view camera system.
